Cozy Cabin Weekend Recap!

First things first, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

2019 was pretty fun and it ended on a good note! My very best friend in the world has a birthday on December 27th, so we took the last weekend of the year to get away with a big group of friends. We holed up together in a luxury cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and we had a BLAST! We spent most of the time inside cracking jokes, playing games and wreaking havoc as we usually do! The first night, we prepped the cabin for the birthday dinner as everyone was arriving. We decorated with buffalo plaid, set the table, and organized the kitchen and prepared the food. After we ate dinner and cake, game night hilarity ensued and a sleepover followed!

FISH TALES WINERY

We ventured into town a for just a short while for wine tasting. It was my first time, and I really enjoyed it. This local winery gives you a list of their selections with descriptions for you to choose samples. After standing at the bar for tasting, you can purchase a bottle or glass, and you can dine in their bistro. I think charcuterie is such a vibe, so we ordered a board! It was a great time!

Soooo...

after wine tasting, I felt a lil sleepy, Chile, so I took a nap. While I was napping my friends took advantage of this time to create some beautiful visuals with our photographer friend, LBJ! It went a lil something like this....

BACKYARD BBQ!

On our last night, we had a family BBQ. We kept it pretty simple, but everything was delicious! Shout out to "Chef Tyris"! ;) After getting ridiculously full, of course the boys wanted to watch football, which was the perfect way to digest a little before getting in the hot tub! The cabin has a beautiful deck expanding down to a covered little nook complete with a fireplace and jacuzzi! Of course, we played games and laughed the whole time! I've always questioned the whole "hot tub in a cold climate" situation, but it was fun! Everyone should try it, just be prepared with towels and warm clothes when you get out!

Hands down, this was a perfect weekend retreat! We definitely all needed the time away from home and life's obligations, and it was honestly refreshing to just be silly around people that we don't see all the time. The whole group was so cohesive, the moments were intentional, and the vibes were so genuine and light hearted! I'd love to go on another adventure with these individuals!
