So, I recently had a birthday! I didn't have any idea how I wanted to celebrate. I debated about going home to Arkansas or inviting my family and friends for a party in Dallas, but I decided to keep it simple and small. My closest Dallas friends took me to Paradiso in Bishop Arts for Friday night dinner and drinks. It's a brand new Italian restaurant with beautiful food and great cocktails. This upscale menu certainly appeals to the millennial with reasonable prices and posh bites. The space has a gorgeous garden aesthetic, so the atmosphere is modern and sleek, yet very zen. So many insta-worthy opportunities!
There are also so many cute surrounding shops that I can't wait to check out in Bishop Arts soon!
My actual birthday fell on a Sunday, so naturally, that means brunch! I went to Happiest Hour to grab a quick brunch bite with my bestie! We both had delicious salads, but we decided to forgo drinks since it was still pretty early. The Happiest Hour menu was very reasonably priced as well, and they served large portions! I can definitely see myself becoming a regular there.
If you know me, you know I have a serious sweet tooth! Seriously y'all, it's a problem! Of course, I needed cake on my birthday! Cake Bar has been on my list of "must-tries" for a while! Located in Trinity Groves, this shop has the cutest, classic look! I just couldn't resist the photo opportunity! The Carolina blue with the gold lettering made for beautiful pictures! Go check it out if you like cake; there are plenty of options to choose from!
As I reflected on how I felt about this birthday and this upcoming year, I decided that I feel really grateful! I've probably made entirely too many jokes about being old, but in all actuality I'm beyond optimistic about what's to come. 25 was a more beautiful year than I could have anticipated, and I'm more than thankful for all the experiences that found me. This birthday, I was literally overwhelmed with so much love and surrounded with beautiful company. All the best people went out of their way to spoil me throughout the entire weekend. It was such a good feeling. I researched the meaning of the number 26 and I read that it means wealth and prosperity. The number 2 symbolizes diplomacy, harmony and cooperation. The number 6 is known as a symbol of love, honesty and responsibility. Reading this makes me even more excited about what I'm walking into. Lately, everything seems to be falling into place; like I've really hit my stride. Looking at my goals, and seeing the progress that I've made, not only makes me proud, but motivates me to press on. I'm confident that God will bring everything and everyone into my life who's meant to be there. I'm looking forward to more light, more love and more life.
